SeventyFive London - Art Direction
SeventyFive London is a London based brand designed by Chinese designer Janny Yip. I've worked with Janny for three seasons as an art director on their lookbooks, photographed by Paul Phung. We started with an extremely exciting video I directed with videographer Makiyo Lio which featured a narrative developed that looked at "masculine" ritual with non-binary model Mime. The following season we looked deeper into Imperial China, with Janny looking at vignettes from marketplaces during this time. This delve into Imperial China continued and we had the luxury of shooting in a Shaolin temple located in North London. It has always been a joy to work with a Chinese team and explore imagery associated with our ancestors.
